I recently finished this project, which we completed in several phases. In the first phase, we completely reconfigured the common areas of the house….the kitchen, dining room, family room, laundry and powder room. In the second phase we renovated the guest bathroom and the homeowner’s master bathroom. The doors and moldings were also replaced. I created a custom craftsman-style crown molding throughout the house, some was painted and some stained.
The homeowner, a scientist, needed a little design help, so I enlisted the help of interior designer, Kim Cofre, to help him select his finishes and color choices. All of the cabinetry was custom designed by me and built by B&J Cabinets. The counters are topped with quartz in the kitchen, Carrera Marble in the dining room and guest bathroom, and Emperor Dark Marble in the master bath. The back splash tiles in the kitchen were hand made with accent tiles of dragonflies, a special request of the homeowner.
He and his three boys live in the house, so built-in laundry hampers were a must. We built one in each bathroom as well as in the laundry room. An integrated pull out bench seat with a computer station was designed as part of the family room built-in. All of the floor tile is a wood plank porcelain.
Hopefully my client and his boys will enjoy the renewed house for many years to come.
